Meet Gareth

“With over 25 years in the gas industry, I’ve worked across the full spectrum, from installation and commissioning to consultancy, compliance auditing, and technical service and repair in both domestic and commercial settings. I’m qualified in almost all areas of natural gas, LPG, and air/ground source systems, with hands-on experience across catering, heating, laundry, fumes investigations, auditing, and compliance. My background spans plant room design, risk assessment, technical engineering, and team leadership, and I’ve held roles both on the tools and in senior technical positions. Always with a focus on delivering safe, practical solutions.

I manage the Building Services Department at Morgan Lambert, leading a team of designers, associate consultants, and specialist engineers to deliver full plant room and communal heating system designs. We handle projects of all sizes from initial feasibility and planning through to specification, project management, and compliance assurance.

I also lead our stock condition reporting service, overseeing national-scale surveys that provide clients with detailed asset data, lifecycle forecasts, and capital planning insights. I provide technical guidance and training to our commercial auditing team and play an active role in developing new services and workstreams across the commercial areas of the business.

We act as Principal Designer under CDM where required, and I work closely with colleagues across the wider ICA group to support clients with broader aspects of building safety and regulatory compliance. This includes expanding our capability in response to evolving Building Regulations and industry frameworks. I’m always looking at how we can improve the way we work, embracing technology to improve efficiency, consistency, and the overall service we provide.”
