“After leaving full time education, I joined the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineering Artificer Apprentice and embarked upon my trade training. Life circumstances necessitated my leaving, and I worked on a super conducting magnet assembly contract for the CERN project. I retrained with British Gas and worked in several different roles including lead technical engineer, engineer coach and sales across different sections of the business. Looking for a new challenge, I moved to SSE as a lead technical engineer prior to spending a short time supervising and managing housing gas contracts. Most recently, I worked as an Inspector and Training Support Inspector for Gas Safe Register.

As Specialist Projects Manager my role is to manage and undertake any projects that differ from our daily scope of works. My in-depth knowledge of the gas Standards and legislation allows me to provide support to clients and colleagues alike. I collaborate with our highly knowledgeable managers across the domestic and non-domestic areas of our business to deliver our wide portfolio of client services.”
